Blouch Turbo was founded by Robert Blouch Sr. in February 1980. Located just north of Lebanon, PA, Blouch Turbo was formed to meet the turbocharger rebuilding needs of local commercial diesel owner/operators as well as larger commercial diesel fleets.
As word of mouth spread, "Robert Blouch Turbochargers" became synonymous with quality rebuilding at reasonable prices with much attention to precision and detail. It was not long before the small, one-man operation was busy rebuilding Cummins, Mack, Caterpillar and Detroit Diesel turbochargers and various agricultural turbochargers as local farm owners and tractor repair shops learned of the business.
In 1986, Robert Sr. purchased land along a State Route in Pennsylvania and constructed a large purpose-built structure for turbocharger rebuilding. It was not long before the Garrett T2/T3, Mitsubishi TD04/05, IHI RHB5 and Toyota CT20/26 turbochargers installed on mid-80's automotive applications began to arrive for rebuilding.
Robert Jr. joined the operation as a full time employee in 1990 and spearheaded the automotive turbocharger rebuilding as well as electronic fuel injection diagnostics on turbocharged automotive applications. By 1995, Bob Jr. was developing performance turbochargers for the Mitsubishi DSM's, Chrysler FWD and Ford 2.3L turbo applications.
In recent years, Blouch Turbo has continued to add staff to facilitate the development of cutting edge custom performance turbochargers and related products to meet the growing needs of the automotive performance turbocharger market. Our goal is the same as it was in 1980: to provide the best possible products and customer service in the turbo industry.
